sit me upon my pony on my boat
And if I were like lightning / I wouldn’t need no sneakers / Well I’d come and go wherever I would please / And I’d scare ‚em by the shade tree and I’d scare ‚em by the light pole / But I would not scare my pony on my boat out on the sea / And if I had a boat, I’d go out on the ocean / And if I had a pony, I’d ride him on my boat / And we could all together, well go out on the ocean / I’ll sit me upon my pony on my boat / I’ll sit me upon my pony on my boat (Lyle Lovett)

„I get up in the morning
I drink a cup of coffee
I look out of the window
I try to get it started“
That’s another LL’s song. And that fitted a little bit with my own mind this morning. I got up, drank a cup of tea (instead of my usual coffee), I looked at the window of my computer (outside I knew the sky was blue, as usual – that’s at least what people here want to believe), and I got it started, thanks to your new picture, Florian, one more picture of your northern trip, its grey skies, the strange grey people we meet everywhere, a standing grey man looking at the grey sea, some grey tourists thinking and maybe singing „Ain’t nothin but a good time“.
That’s it and that’s enough grey. „[We] live where [we] can breathe“…
And you know, Florian, that we can feel a little bit strange or, yet better, a stranger, when facing these mundane situations, which are part of our mundane two pennies Heaven.
«Die reitenden Helden vom festen Land
Haben gar viel zu bedeuten;
Doch stünd es ganz in meiner Hand
Ein Meerpferd möchte ich reiten».
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Ein faszinierendes «Triptychon» lieber Florian.
This is a beautiful black and white that you offer us, my friend !
All the best

ay, Fritsch, buddy, there you go, there’s nothing like boats to make a grown happy on a gray day……
we leave something behind when we cast off, and new opportunities open. they may be unrealized, but they’re there – in the backs of our heads, and I’m sure these holiday makers feel it too. that little rush….
(oh, and that’s a great song too, btw!)
keep ‚em coming, pal!
Hepp!
good day, good way
herzlichst Ulli
