walked away a dozen times, I drove away a hundred more

I walked away a dozen times / I drove away a hundred more / But all the trains and all the buses / Brought me back here to our door (Words by Woody Guthrie, Music by Anders Parker)

Two different instants at the same place… How much can a truck change the atmosphere? Though at first I thought it was quite obvious, then I thought I don’t have clear answers, cause there is something stronger than any differences here, the feeling of abandon, loneliness, awaiting for some help.
Maybe that’s because I’m remembering these moments of misty mornings when I was hitch-hiking. Hard times, but not so hard, cause I survived! Thanks, Florian, for helping me live again these moments lost far away in dark corners of my memory. Thanks, my friend, for helping me survive.
And I want to add I loved the composition and lighting.

    Walter

  3. ay, what a great investigation of place and object: the minimalism of the roadscape, the fog, the washed out colours, the light and composition – and the presence/absence of the truck ….

great work, and right now I’d rather be in that truck hauling down the eternity of an autobahn into the night than being stuck here, working the beat…

    keep on truckin‘, pal!

    Hepp!

A sacred atmosphere on these two photos Florian ! Missing a sad old song of The Cure…
Have a nice day my friend.

These are impressive color photographs. Love the darkness and the muted tones

Up before most, when even the landscape seems drowsy, a feeling of quietude, the kind that comes with a steady blues rhythm
