songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

one for my baby & one more for the road

We’re drinking my friend, to the end of a brief episode / Make it one for my baby and one more for the road / I got the routine / So drop another nickel in the machine / I’m feelin so bad / I wish it make the music dreamy and sad (Billie Holiday)

i love everything about this picture, esp the pictures in the picture, i will make my sun room walls full of pictures, and the one lone figure, whispering from his own still life…… ‚carpe diem‘

Danke Dir.

Viele Grüße & weiterhin sichere Straßen, Fritsch.

Billie Holiday, man! There is nothing better than Billie to warmth our broken hearts, specially in our moments of loneliness. We may be having our dinner, drinking a cup of wine or a stronger alcohol, or even reading a paper, the music of Billie filling our heart is the best way to make a better feeling from the bad /sad. Here you captured it so well, making the very special alchemy of yours, Florian, mixing photograph and song.
I see you, my friend, travelling alone for the necessities of your work. I see you in these desert places. Not so desert in fact with all these photos put on the walls. Photos I would like to look at closer. But I can only imagine.

It’s Billie Holiday & the great & beautiful Marcello Mastroianni. And all our lonesome traveling is spiced while entering the room with pictures all hung diagonally because it seems that our life sometimes is so damn inclined. And than it’s Lady Day singing the blues & we’re drinking to the end of a brief episode. Because it’s always one for our baby & truly one for the road. Thanks, my friend.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Vielen Dank, Uwe.

Viele Grüße & weiterhin sichere Straßen, Fritsch.

Even when the wall is full of pictures of good times past, still the road will call out, and we’ll need to get back to it, get back out there

    • Fritsch sagt:

Nothing more calling than the promises of the road outside, my friend. We know what we’re talking about as much as Lady Day knows the soundtrack to that. Thanks, buddy.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
