songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

headed straight for heaven but I ended up on blue boulevard

We’ll it runs as far as I can see / But that still ain’t far enough for me / With the radio on and a full tank of gas / I’m looking for you on every corner I pass / Baby, drive me crazy ‚cause I can’t find you anywhere / And I spend my whole life going nowhere (Dave Alvin)

That scene seems surrealistist(ic) to me with those so different and non sporty people associated by accident with the logo Kung Fu so that the whole looks strange and nearly funny.
That is nothing else but my feeling.

A sample of very different people with the Kung Fu sign adding some more strange feeling… I can understand it caught your attention so that it deserved a shot. That’s the kind of exercise I like to do, specially with your pictures, Florian.
That’s also how works our friendship, trying to understand deeply our motivations to shoot one frame, trying to feel what moved the friend, especially when it’s something subtle!

Photography as something more felt than seen that’s what describes best what we are doing, I guess. Something felt is what keeps us out on those streets, collecting memeories & feelings we are able to share. Thanks, Francis!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Life sometimes feel so surreal as if spent in the Kung Fu Academy. But that’s what makes it all interesting. Thanks, Michèle.

Kaleidoscopic humanity–all of them looking for something and someone somewhere. The Bard wrote „All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances…“ His words were right and so is your photo.
It’s one of the best street shots I could ever imagine.

Most of the time the streets is our stage & often it’s not quite clear what’s the entrance & where’s the exit. But maybe this is part of the magic & we should just keep playing & admitting the stage settings. Because it’s beautiful. Because it’s part of us. Thanks, Phil!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Beautiful street photography, very well contrasted !

  5. Solch ein tolles Figurenkabinett findet sich nur in den Straßen einer pulsierenden Stadt … und wenn der Fotograf einen Blick dafür hat, wie in diesem Fall. Prima Bild, lieber Florian!
