Stuck in speed bump city / Where the only thing that’s pretty / Is the thought of getting out / There’s a tower block overhead / All you’ve got’s your benefits / And you’re barely scraping by / In this trouble town / Troubles are found (Jake Bugg)

I’m not sure if these places are as bleak and bereft of anything joyful as your photos depict–but I’m betting that they come close to that assessment. I get the feeling of being trapped by just looking at them! In some ways, they remind me of some of the „grit“ I encountered when I was a boy. It still makes me shudder.
Anyway, nice work on these atmospheric photos, Florian. Kudos for being able to take photos of a harder side of life. Not everyone is successful in that endeavor.

  7. „Waste your summer praying in vain/For a savior to rise from these streets/Well, I’m no hero, that’s understood/All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood…“

hopefully there’s a savior and a dirty hood somewhere in Darmstadt too, pal, a savior and a dirty hood and Roy Orbison singing for the lonely, Roy Orbison singing for the lonely …..

    keep ‚em coming, Fritsch!

    Hepp!

With a mind beyond the walls and the building, don’t look down but up, past the concrete, the dusty streets, the graying grass and naked trees

Two views of the modern jungle… Nice and strong.
    Have a nice day.

  11. Umzingelt.

Wenn es je eine Frage gewesen wäre : You’ll never get out of this world alive.
