might just crawl back in bed, with the fortune inside your head
There’s a fortune inside your head / When all you touch turns to lead / You think you might just crawl back in bed / With the fortune inside your head (Wilco)

A pool of light in the black nothingness. A dark & brooding image that sends shivers down my spine. Just great
you give us so much, Florian… i don’t know which is the greater gift, your brooding black and whites, or your loving comments that bring so much light into our lives… thank you for being a friend
„On his hard road, each one has its rights to a personal corner of paradise“: that’s what went first through my tired mind when looking at your new intriguing post, Florian. Well, we know all roads are not with the same level of difficulties and that the personal corner of paradise may vary a lot from one to another… But here, once more, it’s totally intriguing, looking like a sample of beach… in the middle of a kind of no man’s land! And finally I’m wondering: what would be my own corner of paradise like?
Thanks, my friend, for opening once more my eyes and mind to this strange world we’re living in!
Do you know what? I don’t even know what this structure is. Oh, I’ve tried a few plausible explanations, but each one comes with a question mark at the end. Nevertheless, there is what seems to be blue sky, bright light, a body of water, and this little oasis camp.
It sounds friendly, but there is a barrenness to it that would make a holiday here (possibly) something like an empty promise…like that fortune of lead. On the other hand, you get to enjoy that fortune or that beach all by yourself, but that may not be the best thing, either. It’s a land of paradox! Thanks, Florian.
une île de lumière dans le noir du monde
nice catch.. that’s an odd looking beach umbrella.. what’s the deal with that ladder? :D
ay, Fritsch, Maestro – what a great shot.
the parasol looks almost alive, and it’s supposed to be a good thing, something that protects you, but here, in combination with the Wilco-lyrics, your high contrast finish and those vignets make it look almost … dangerous. like it’s going to come down on you and swallow you alive…
oh, and I notice the heart shaped outline in the sand, pal ……
great work! keep the gunpowder dry and the photography too :D
Hepp!
White on black, one cannot exist without the other, what is far brings us closer to what is nearer, like that dark sky and black sea of yours
cool photo! love the umbrella design too!
a stunning image.
Insel-Dasein. Daseins Insel. Im Meer des… Lebens?

Have a nice day.
