songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

it’s not dark yet, but it’s getting there

© Karneval der Kulturen; Berlin 2012 by Fritsch

I was born here and I’ll die here against my will / I know it looks like I’m moving, but I’m standing still / Every nerve in my body is so vacant and numb / I can’t even remember what it was I came here to get away from / Don’t even hear a murmur of a prayer / It’s not dark yet, but it’s getting there (Bob Dylan as sung by Micah P. Hinson)

Yes! Perfect! Lost in the crowd and keeping a fake smile pasted on in the midst of them. The resonance is nearly consuming me. Not quite…but it’s getting there.

    (Stop reading my mind, Florian!)

    Lenor Pur Sensitiv.

    Was verbirgt sich darin?
Was soll das?

Carnival for freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of show, showing pieces of art, masterworks or not, and among all the people longing for freedom, a woman sitting with what can be her intimate expression, and us looking at this picture of yours, Florian, we are just like she is, we are longing for showing our pictures, our visions of the world, our world, and that’s when we meet here and there that we can feel we are not so alone, that we can feel we can invent some trip together, we can share and be stronger, being two or more on the same road, the road to a hoped freedom.

Such perfect lyrics to accompany the image. Lots going on here – for sure!

  7. Anne V. sagt:

    Great hat. A mysterious shot.

  8. Turnbill sagt:

Hey Fritsch – these are some nice candid portraits!

So strange scene! Is there someone into the box??? Well seen!
    Have a nice day.

  11. Jerome sagt:

Loneliness in the middle of a crowd, for it is when we are the most surrounded that we are perhaps the most alone. All with a smile
