all that blue that you carry around in your heart

© Alexanderplatz, Berlin 2011 by Fritsch

Show me any two eyes that don’t believe in the dark / I’d like to see them try to hold back the stars /  Night wind and the cross road and the blue ghost’s name / All start with danger / The letter danger / Look in my eyes and see if it’s still true / It all used to / With all that blue that you carry around in your heart / It must be raining there forever (Jason Molina)

  1. Great framming my friend!
    Happy new year!!!

    Wunderbar ins Bild gesetzt.

Looking at this with my child’s eyes, despite of my oldness. Looking at this night shot moving me back to my first night visits to the fairy when I was a child. How long shall I keep these eyes? I remember my visit to Bukowski in San Pedro (CA), his child’s eyes in a devasted face. I can have some hope…
Thanks, my friend Florian, for offering me this moment of eternity!

  4. I can’t remember it, but this superb shot reminds me of something, I don’t know, so many years have passed, so many memories have gone in time, and I just can’t remember…

This shot haunts me, man, it really does. And that’s where any great shot’s power emanates from, from a place of shared memory, of shared experience of being lost and being found again. Like I said, this shot haunts me, and it’s going to continue to do so. Fantastic, brother.

I like „all that [ JAZZY ] blue that you carry around in your heart“ but what I like about [ Fritsch(esque) ] was that it had a bit of an edge (mostly all the time) – Luscious escape for the senses… pictorial-effect (HA!).

beautiful shot, love the perspective …

  13. Again and again and again.

  14. Damn! This is good!!!
The stark black and white, the perfect semi circle of the ferris wheel….that light, contrast.

    nicely done! very artistic

  16. ay, Fritsch, to be alone there, suspended in the dark, nothing but the wind and the distant, muted sound of an old barrel organ in the ears – that’s magic, my friend!

    Viva!
