songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

I was lonesome & the wind blew bold

The story’s been told a thousand times / But it never gets old / You don’t miss your water til your well runs dry / You don’t miss your spark until the night turns cold / Everything she touches turns to gold / Everything she touches turns to gold / She had the eye to find the diamond in this old chunk of coal (Giant Sand)

Melancoly and great beauty of those sky and sea that got mixed.
The pile on the left gives something more to the minimal artistic of that maritime landscape.
    Most beautiful!

Should I say this is the most wonderful minimalistic picture I’ve seen? I guess some people wouldn’t believe me, but that’s true. The balance of the composition is perfect with this black pile on the left side in the foreground and the horizon line put in the middle of the frame, something which is not recommended generally but which works so well here, Florian.
That’s an inspiring shot to me, my friend, something I’ve been looking for along the Normandy’s coast these last days and couldn’t find.

Thanks, buddy. If you could only see me blush. And after taking this frame I suddenly noticed it took me years to find the place, the time & the frame.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Sometimes I do wish for the well to go dry, just for a day, to really appreciate the water.
Just like that golden touch, that thin black line is the touch that makes this whole frame what it is

To appreciate the things thrugh missing them is perhaps the kind of minimalism that makes this roaming around so special. You are a philosopher, Jerome. Thanks for that.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

  8. Grandioser Minimalismus!

I liebe dieses Foto.
