songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

who can tell what we may find

© Wäsche, Weimar 2011 by Fritsch

In between love, trying to scheme love / Who can tell what we may find / Never thought love, that I’d get caught love / Between the magic in your eyes / Your love’s like wind and it’s so cool and breezy / Never thought that love could be so easy / In between love, trying to scheme love / In between love again (Tom Waits)

Great framing and love the high contrast, could only be a Fritsch.

A simple moment that tells a lot, like aptass said, could only be a Fritsch :)

oh wow, this is totally a new fave among your shots, so melancholy, but the tom waits song makes me happy, all tom waits songs do… how i admire you for shooting in black and white, or processing the colour out… because really it’s black and white photographs that make my heart sing, and when i shot film, all i shot was black and white, but now, with digital, it’s like i’m addicted to colour crack haha… and of course, i’m addicted to you, dear <3

  7. Sind wir nicht alle immer irgendwie in between? Und ist das Wissen um dieses „in between“ vielleicht die beste und einzige Art zu leben? Alles geht, alles wird, nichts bleibt, außer den Bildern und der Musik in unseren Herzen.

  8. Again the seeming solitude, melancholy unfolded. And again the implied life, the joy, the pure living surrounding us. Sometimes we feel so isolated, so utterly alone and devoid of all connection, but it’s there, right there…

Again, such beautiful & tender work, brother.

When the world is crushing down, there are still timeless images like this one. Timeless, though it drives me back to very old memories. Though in my memories it’s something linked to country sceneries. These are simple things of daily life and that’s just enough, Florian. Just enough.
