songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

standing right here

© Wohnstadt Carl Legien Sodtkestr. Berlin 2009 by Fritsch

But it’s so hard to dance that way / When it’s cold and there’s no music / Well your old hometown is so far away / But, inside your head there’s a record / That’s playing, a song called / Hold on, hold on / You really got to hold on / Take my hand, I’m standing right here / You got to hold on (Tom Waits)

By the way: The photoblog awards 2009 are up. If you like what you see, get over and vote for the hobokollektiv.

sounds like you like mule variations as much as i do!! did i mention i saw that tour? lol prolly :) love this picture, it looks like one of those bombs went off that only destroys humans and leaves everything else intact :)

Bravo!

  4. I really like the perspective in this one. An image that, for me, conveys a sense of loneliiness.

your industrial landscapes are always devoid of humanity and all the better for that…excellent.

I’m sure that tree is growing out from inside the left building. Like one of those cgi pictures of what the world will look like if humans disappear. First Prize Sir.

  10. Nice perspective! I like how you get right down close and personal with the road and including the detail of the cobblestones in the frame. The distinct „v“ of the vanishing point is great! Yes…this is awesome!

i love those bricks fading into the distance, and all these powerful surfaces.

I really like the contrast of black and white here. It works well. And of course the vanishing point too.
