songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

the one that howls inside where the wind blows through

It’s a long black night / Coming down on you / The one that howls inside / Where the wind blows through / I know you feel like you’re dying / For anything true / But you’ve got a light / And it shines in you (Jeffrey Foucault)

Ivy will take over anything…even that fence designed to be a boundary. Sometimes even what is meant to be a prison isn’t if we can just remember to see outside and reach past it. We owe ourselves that much.

Sometimes it seems to me that most of our prisons are only in our heads. And sometimes all it takes is a little Ivy to make us suddenly feel outside of our own prisons. Thanks, Phil.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Nicely eerie for All Hallows Eve.

Fences and walls, free plants on the other side. In a corner. A corner where chairs are put apart. The kind of place we forget, the kind of place we don’t even see, usually. But it didn’t escape your eyes, Florian. And that’s one of the things I do like in your work, my friend. The exploration of our world in all its components.

Thanks, buddy. When the night is dark & long … one last glass of red & a cigarette … suddenly even boundaries look beautiful. Thanks for taking the ride with me. And thanks for being hypnotized by the mundane just like I am, brother.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
