songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

nothing much left in the tank, somehow this thing still drives

Driving through the streets tonight / It’s hot, I’ve got the windows down / I wish I could call you, I wish you were still around / Nothing much left in the tank / Somehow this thing still drives / Think I forgot what it needed but somehow still survive / And all the walls we built they must come down (Ryan Adams)

    In Bewegung bleiben.

Vielen Dank, Uwe.

Viele Grüße & weiterhin sichere Straßen, Fritsch.

you are speeding by the rest of us, a blur to our eyes as we watch you on the screen, out of reach, but still in touch, with your lovely words and your lovely images!!

  3. ay, Fritsch, buddy, life in the fast lane, always moving, this time they’re rushing through the darkness of a Swiss big city night, and from an elevated position the photographer watches with that americana sentiment in his ears … it’s close to magic, pal!

    keep ‚em coming!

    Hepp!

    • Fritsch sagt:

Thanks, buddy. Prizefighters like us know the magic of these lonesome hotel nights. And so we run & dive deep into those big city lights & dark Swiss nights.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

nothing much left in the tank …

Hey Florian,I had the temptation to click over each window just to see more of each small detailed frame of this incredible scene. I won’t reproduce the Camus‘ list quoted by Walter. A perfect quotation, as far as I can re-translate from German to French.
Well, bro, I imagine you were alone in your hotel room in Zürich, looking at the street and having a little bit more of journey just looking at this whole scene, imagining yourself in each part of this fresco! But that’s my imagination. After all, that’s our privilege of viewers. And once more, thanks for offering us this possibility!

    • Fritsch sagt:

Yes, Francis, Walter nailed it this time.

And yes I was alone in my hotel room. A hundred trolleys rolled by while I stood at the open window waiting for that one old trolley to take away my lonesomeness & drive it all through the dark Zürich night. And bro, a part of me was sitting at every window that damn trolley offered. Thanks.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

lieber Florian, wieder einmal sehr gelungen!

    herzliche Grüsse Ulli

    • Fritsch sagt:

Vielen Dank, Ulli.

Viele Grüße & weiterhin sichere Straßen, Fritsch.

    Like this take on machines.
