songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

you’re the wild blue sky & men do foolish things

The moon is yellow silver / Oh the things that summer brings / It’s a love you’d kill for / And all the world is green / He is balancing a diamond / On a blade of grass / The dew will settle on our graves / When all the world is green (Tom Waits)

good days and ways, wünsche ich dir

A rain I can imagine as a vertical „dew settled on windows/graves“, the graves for some memories, for instance the streets we could have walked along… I always love these pictures of landscapes or cityscapes transformed by the laws of optics, raindrop optics. And I don’t know exactly why, though I suppose it has to see with my childhood days in a very rainy region of France…
And our all-time companion, Tom Waits, whose melancholic music has something of an American „saudade“.
Well, Florian, we are worldwide citizens travelling through spaces and feelings. That’s what I praise so much. Thank you, my friend.

When things go wrong and are hard to bear, hope is essential. Hope in one more acid green spring for instance.

Sometime choosing to not see the world clearly can be a relief

hey our posts are kind of in a serendipitous synch today… see? i told you photography isn’t platonic haha our pics just had a clandestine meeting of the minds, baby yeah… and i love the picture, kind of a whole departure for you… you hittin‘ the photographic road? headed down the highway? xoxoxoxox

  9. ay, Fritsch, buddy, gray days of rain and distorted visions are unavoidable and there’s nothing hobos can do but live through them, and with great songs and magic photography we live to face another one!

    great shot, pal!

    Hepp!

Stormy outside, dark inside. It makes people do crazy things. And I’m not merely talking about the weather.
