songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

all the billion highways & the cities at the break of dawn

© Paulskirche, Frankfurt am Main 2012 by Fritsch

Well I’m changing all my strings / I’m gonna write another travelin‘ song / About all the billion highways / And the cities at the break of dawn / I guess the best that I can do now / Is to pretend that I’ve done nothing wrong / And to dream about a train / That’s gonna take me back where I belong (Bright Eyes)

The place feels more empty then it should. Don’t know why. But excellent opportunity for some hidden photographer unknowing model-kind of deal :)

Solitary contemplation, waiting for something–anything–to happen, perhaps a friend or just a talkative stranger, nowhere to go, nothing to do, and plenty of time to get it done.

Shooting from a reasonable distance, with a tree that may help a little bit, a tree part of the composition, giving to it some more meaning, the meaning of a will of discretion perhaps, and the lonely guy sitting on the stairs of a monument, the lonely who is the only character, but probably not the unique point of interest of the composition.

There is the waiting attitude here too, there is the quiet place, a profusion of vertical lines, the special ambiant that you capture so well, Florian.

Beautiful, I’m always thinking about a train, the next train, any train, a random train at times, just to keep going and never stop

very cool picture, could be tom waits sitting there… pretend we’ve done nothing wrong, well that’s the way of the world mostly… I hope you are having a lovely Christmas season, and get lots of prezzies :)
