songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

there’s a sick sick wind that is blowing round

© Hot Dogs, Velten 2012 by Fritsch

Well, it’s a god damn shame what’s going down / How we got to this, I do not know / There’s a sick sick wind that is blowing round / And the captain’s got to go (William Elliott Whitmore)

a sick hotdog wind… where the spare parts of dead animals are smooshed into a casing and sold as the funnest thing to eat for kids… a sick carnival wind, where nobody rides the ferris wheel except the few dead souls that cling to this mortal plane, caught between time and reason… a sick wind that comes to carry me far away from my beloved.

Love how the shop seems to wait for people and spring and somedy to open its shutter. Great great compo !

  5. Am Rande der Zeit. Deine Bilder – immer wieder.

The view here chills me to the bone and the feeling of desolation is palpable. This little place is surrounded by nothing and can only wait until time changes things so it’s purpose can be realized once more. How we get to this, I do not know. A striking piece of fantasy inducing photography, Florian.

I love the compo here, I could recognize this in a stack of a thousand photographs and know you took it

awh, it’s as if all the fun stuff has to be abandoned for cold weather.

I’m getting a feeling of abandonment and isolation.

How then are the opening times?

  15. Solitude surrounds us, invades our every waking moment…And yet, always the potential for connection remains, always around the next corner, waiting patiently. That’s how I see this brilliant shot of yours, and it is just that, brilliant.

And so we continue, on we go.

That is to be late or that is to arrive sooner, anyway that is to be out of the lines, the timeline, that is me so often, arriving too soon or too late, arriving in a desert place when crowds were flocking there hours sooner. That may be arriving very much later, definetely later, because the crowds have gone away forever. That may be a view from after the human presence in the world. That may be the right distance between the viewer and the world. And that is moving me, Florian, and that’s the point!

Looks like my kind of place!

My clever Florian (HA!)… the way you associate your „verses/picture“ altogether so finely and that it works! Liking this depiction „City Scope Rant“.
