invisible city XII

© Neon lights cinema "Babylon" Berlin 2009 by Fritsch

Pretty thing, I’ve got you / Right where I used to be / We ride across this city / Starting fires recklessly / And everything is closing / But tonight, we’ll stay awhile / And if this darkness lingers / I’ll fall to you just like a child (Jesse Sykes And The Sweet Hereafter)

By the way: The photoblog awards 2009 are up. If you like what you see, get over and vote for the hobokollektiv.

    Babylon, Babylon

Sunday all the lights of London
Shining , Sky is fading red to blue
I’m kicking through the Autumn leaves

    „Babylon is burning
    Can’t you see?

i love german compound words: „stummfilmkonzerte“, great name…scrabble must be a high scoring game there :-)

    a terrific post!

  5. Love the balance, the contrasts and this wonderful red. What is it about red anyway? One cannot help but be drawn to it.
    Another sensational shot, Fritsch!

„I was just a lad, nearly twenty two
Neither good nor bad, just a kid like you

keep doing such work, musical composition in colors!

Gosh, the contrast of the red and the white sign against the black darkness is amazing. Another great piece of art my friend. I really like the lit room inside the window. It adds the depth to this image.

great shot! show the arrogance of some people… lol who would want to call a city or a business ‚babylon‘?? have you ever heard the old saying ’speak of the devil and the devil appears‘? very interesting! i like it alot

so this is babylon – much as i expected it to look – slick and inviting! great shot, as always.

Stummfilmkonzerte. Schwarzweiß in Farbe.

Was watching a film by the BBC on the collapse of Lehman Brothers and a reference was made to New York as the fallen Babylon while they quoted a text from Revelations. New York is also called Babylon.

Noir all around on this, which I love. Superb framing.
