lonely still

© Sunday morning Strandperle Hamburg 2009 by Fritsch

This is where my ship has run aground / Stuck in the mud of the puget sound / I came from the great lakes and I watched them turn dry / The sky turned black & I cried / I never thought heartbreak would follow me ‚round / Well, I’m lonely / Well, I’m lonely still (Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter)

just a very very good b/w photo with good tones and contrast. i like the scenery with those humans in the foreground and the industry in the background – great photo!

  2. Such great contrasts and blacks in this photo. Love the detail in the sky and the cranes off in the distance. Bravo!

This is great! Looks a bit like War of The Worlds to me… Very futuristic in its nature.

those Cranes are mad, brilliant use of silhouettes, remind me of Japanese paper cuts, another gem Fritsch.

Strong one. I really like the contrast between the structures and peoples.

This I really LOVE. The tonal range of BW here is just sweeet I can taste it. Kind of shot I would hang in my den. Congrats…

there’s an eeriness to this that i really like – it’s as if they’ve gathered on the beach to watch the end of the world.
