songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

7th street wonderland

The sky was full with a gray winter light / And each freezing degree made its target that night / And the pulse of the snow was the pulse of twighlight / The pulse of the snow was the pulse of diamonds / And you wear it in your hair like a constellation / And we both swear by the size of that moon / That the sky will sink tonight (Songs: Ohia)

The landscape through this lateral window brings me back to Europe. And not only to Europe but also to winter. And this foggy light you capture so well brings me back all the forgotten stories. Every day of my tropical life now, there is a moment, an instant in fact cause it’s very fugitive, passing through my mind and bringing back images or, mainly, sensations I’ve lived a very very long time ago.
And your shots, Florian, participate of these memories. That’s a sensation I like though I know it means I’m approaching my death. I like it because it’s better than feeling nothing.
Outside here and now, there are children playing in the pool. What will they remember when not only grown up but also getting old?

Forgotten stories make us following those roads & dive deep into those foggy days. And we live to remember & we live to tell those stories. And each day we get older is another chapter worth telling. Thanks, buddy.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

    well seen, Mr. Special ;)

I watch that picture and i’m cold to the bones. I love the picture but i hate that kind of atmosphere even if it’s most aesthetic.

I like Ulli’s sentence „die Welt ist nun schon fast ganz verschluckt, der Himmel fällt auf die Erde“

It was a cold moment, Michèle but the magic of things disappearing in the fog amde it special & warm. And I like Ulli’s sentence too. She’s a poet.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

How much gas in the car & how far can we go … sang Eleni Mandell einst. Vielen Dank, Uwe.

Viele Grüße & weiterhin sichere Straßen, Fritsch.

My good friend Florian, the poetry in those words is equaled by the poetry within the frame. Let no one doubt that photography is poetry, because you’ve done it
