close your windows

Better close your windows, better close your windows / Lock your doors and stay in bed / ‚Cause there’s a barn burning baby / And they say somebody’s dead (Dave Alvin)

„There’s such a lot of things to change / A whole world to rearrange / And if you show me how / I’ll begin right now“ (Mike Scott)

you know, you’re really good in making a picture has its own feel and mood. coincidently, the title reminds me of a verse of a song from coldplay:

cause in a bullet proof vest, with the windows all closed/
i’ll be doing my best, and i’ll see you soon/
in a telescope lens, and when all you want is friends/
    i’ll see you soon.

    thanks for sharing.

what a great old structure to photograph.

I’m drawn to the circular wheel ‚thing‘. The high contrast brickwork diverts me away and then I’m drawn back again like some kind of magnetic pull.

That is exemplary for the electrification of our cities. I like the minimalistic frame.

  11. Wow! Such a striking photograph! The old clothesline reel in the frame really adds to the feeling of long ago. Very retro and amazing!
