songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

‚til man & land are both the same

Here, he never touched you / Inside this house he never called your name / So stay where I can see you, girl / We both know the outside world / Has changed and it will never be the same / My hands, they are wicked / My head and my heart are wicked, too / All these things that I do wrong / If you weren’t given fear so strong / I would not be good enough for you / Daisy Mae, Daisy Mae, this hasn’t been your day / But I won’t lay this pistol down / Until the sky falls to the ground / Leave him there to call your name / ’til man and land are both the same (Jason Isbell)

Splendid! And i like it not only because it is nearly naked and quite „minimalist“.

    It’s sober and touching.

Mercie, Michèle. It means the world to me that it touches you, this frame about the minimalism of lonesomeness & straight walk to more togetherness.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

  2. ay, Fritsch, buddy, what a great shot, capturing the human existence at its bare minimum caught between the soil of the earth and the vast emptiness of space and the unseen ocean not far away, with just a little shelter to keep us safe ….

and that’s where guys like us need to be, out there in the open landscape, always running, always roaming under a blue horizon, buddy!

great shot! keep em coming, pal!

    Hepp!

    • Fritsch sagt:

That blue horizon … that blue song … that blue lady & a pistol, buddy … til man & land are both the same ot til land & man are both the same. Determination for us, I guess!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Everything is barely there except for the land and the sky. We pass through our days thinking we own it all not dreaming the price is too high.

A photo to bring some introspection to be sure.

    • Fritsch sagt:

My first thought was that we don’t own anything. Not even the ground we cover or the air that we breath. Everything is borrowd for the time we spend walking through the world & recognize their beauty. Thanks, Phil.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Perfect framing where one can walk on an horizon’s line made of roof(s) and cloud(s), where we lose our references, where everything new becomes possible.
You made it, Florian, you dared it and that makes me travelling there along with you, imagining how you found it, how surprising it could have been.
Once more, my friend, we can walk around, slowly. Slowly because there is no other way to discover our world, to look at it differently, in its totality.

    • Fritsch sagt:

Loosing references to find these new shores, these new horizons, Francis. Loosing references & being thrown back to ourselves to find new companions. One for the body, one for the soul & one for the road. Thanks for riding those roads with me, my friend!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you steal Daisy Mae, his blood will call out from the ground…. her name

    • Fritsch sagt:

I know these ghosts that keep haunting us & calling our names. But I don’t fear them anymore because it’s the other side that matters, dear.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

It seems like the house is sinking and the man is lighter, floating on that sturdy ground. Maybe it’s the sky falling to the ground, pushing it, pushing it down. The man is already part of the ground
