songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

still, somehow, those ditches took the better part of me

From the sky the highway’s straight as it could be / A string pulled tight from home to Tennessee / Still, somehow, those ditches took the better part of me / From the sky, the highway’s straight as it could be / Take my hand baby, we’re over land / I know flying over water makes you cry / Been in the sky so long, seems like the long way home / But I can’t for the life of me say why / Did we leave our love behind (Jason Isbell)

on the road again … herrlich ist das lieber Florian!

    good ways and days

That’s the road, that’s the speed. Future, present and past pass away very fast, everything is rapidly blurred for our visions and memories, out of focus for the photographs we attempt to realize.
That’s our life, Florian, there is no illusion of sharpness. The music sings along, as the road is behind us or in front of us. There is no musical note frozen in the air.
Let’s go on the road, my friend, let’s go ahead without illusion. That’s the price to pay for knowing beautiful moments. Beautiful though fugitives. We are fugees!

Always on the run, brother. With a good song & a life that feels like gasoline in our veins. Dearching for something we may not know now. But we will know when we get there. When we get there everything will be fine, Francis!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

  4. Jerome sagt:

If you look ahead the sky becomes the highway far on the horizon, but you’ve also looked back, in good blues tradition, and there too the sky meets the highway

    • Fritsch sagt:

Nothing but the blues, my friend. We got nothing but the blues & the road ahead & wide open horizon. And we are always there where they all meet. Thanks, Jerome.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
