songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

find a home, find a soul & a way

He’s on a plane crossing the world now / Thinking of the thing that had headed him south / And all the way it seemed / Could help a little boy’s dreams / Find a home, find a soul and a way (Micah P. Hinson)

It’s time for hüben & drüben by the dear folks of pixartix. So keep calm & get on over.

Everything’s faster and faster, and now we have to find a home, find a soul and a way! Excellent title for an excellent picture, like wrote Slavescu Emanuel. And that’s true: supermarket’s parking lots are just the places opposite of a home. But great places to photograph and express the void of our relations with other people, making us pieces of a fabric called market…
Despite of this state, or thanks to it, Florian, you manage to show us an incredible composition of this piece of space, with this black and yellow column in the centre, to remain us about something stronger than everyone of us, something we may name law.
Void, market, law, despite of all these constraints, may stay, my friend, a place where we could find a home for photographers, a soul for the music in our minds, and a way to escape the void, the market and the law.

Follow those strong lines and bright southern colours and home has to be near. Finding a way is becoming complicated

The photo makes me think of times when we ask „what am I doing here? I’m meant for something else, and now I’m lost.“ Micah Hinson’s lyrics–been there, done that, still looking. One day it will come to me just what it is I’m trying to find.
