the dream that I was chasing & a battle with booze

— · —

She said „How you gonna like ‚em, over medium or scrambled?“ / You say „Anyway’s the only way“, be careful not to gamble / On a guy with a suitcase and a ticket getting out of here / It’s a tired bus station and an old pair of shoes / This ain’t nothing but an invitation to the blues (Tom Waits)

The first composition is beautiful, we have two wonderful light effect, add to that a beautiful contrast and we have a great shot!

Remember the first time I listened to this song… So long ago. But I remember it cured my headache, this was after a hard night, I didn’t spend in such a comfortable room and bed :))
Interesting, Florian, to show us the two pictures, a way to remember us that life’s disorder is always stronger than order!

Another thing, Florian. After commenting your picture, I found in my Netvibes reader the following quote: „In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order“. This is Jung’s.
Well, my friend, it may explain why life’s disorder, i.e. life’s secret order is much stronger than mundane order.
And one more thing: it was not by chance that I found this, surely it belonged to the secret order that relies us despite of the thousands of km between our homes.

  5. ay, Fritsch, buddy – aptass is right about the Lynchian feeling found in the first pic … and it doesn’t get any less Lynchian when viewed together with the second one!

the combination of images and lyrics is powerful, stuff, man! great work!

    keep ‚em coming!

    Hepp!

    herzlichst Ulli

Love the second one : the absent person is very present and the atmosphere full of mystery with those strong contrasts. The combination of the two photos works well (before/after) with a very cinematic feel.

Order and disorder. Symmetry and asymmetry. Neither one is complete or means anything without the other. A nice little study, Florian. On the other hand, this photo deeply reminds me that I am sleep-deprived from looking at photos on the ’net till all hours of the night, but it is a sweet pain. :)

What better way to explore the world than with a suitcase and an old pair of shoes, tired bus stations know me well

they mostly come at night, mostly… those invitations to the blues… so i stay awake all night, and make sure they stay under the bed, where they belong… i like the second picture the best, totally wanted to mess up that bed :)
