me & my shadow

There is a shadow everyone has heard / At night he turns into a mucking bird / If I whistle in the dark you will do that do / I have met him on the road today / A silhouette on a black highway / I said „You can have this world / This world is not my own“ / Then he said “ You can keep this world / This world is not my home“ (M. Ward)

Eh, eh, I guess this hat follows you like your shadow… Along these roads you share with us, mainly empty places, places that most people don’t notice at all…
And now some questions I have about your composition, Florian. The main object/subject, the hat, is not exactly in the centre of the frame, which is not so usual with your work. Also interesting to notice that you decided not to avoid a little piece of something unidentified on the wall. Is it a way to tell us that „this world is not [your] home“?
But most important, my friend, I can imagine you taking your hat with a hand, putting it on your head and getting away, once more for a walk outside or even a longer trip, this world with which we don’t feel always comfortable, my friend.

  3. ay, Fritsch, buddy – every man needs a hat, at least undercover agents for the blues do!

(I remember seeing this one in an earlier photo – I guess it truly is your shadow, pal :D )

    keep ‚em coming!

    Hepp!

    Ulli

wherever Fritsch my lay his hat.
I guess you’re not a man until you have a hat to wear

    Allzeit mit Hut
    in der Welt
    auf der Hut sein –
    davor ziehe ich meinen Hut.

Zuhause ist da, wo mein Hut ist:
Wer das von sich sagen kann,
    ist nirgends heimatlos.

    Gruß, Uwe

A shadow you call it, others know it as the noise in the head or the monster under the bed, in sunlight they are there and in the shade you are there
