songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

I’m a country boy with those city blues

I’ve got the wheels to ride and the wheels to run / Some say I got ramblin‘ in my blood / No pretty girl can slow me down / I’ll travel ‚till my country home is found (The Avett Brothers)

    Danke!

    Gruß, Uwe

  2. ay Fritsch, buddy, what a great video – it’s beautifully shot and the down tempo version of Traveling Song is a killer, and it strikes me that the Avetts are doing the same thing as the guys at Norheim, they’re revitalizing old traditions and update them in a .. very precise way that only comes from knowledge and love…. great stuff!

and somehow – those North Carolina boys and their contemporary bluegrass is a perfect match to this picture of a family on vacation somewhere in Northern Germany who are eating waffles on a communal bench and are just .. trying to have a good time. maybe they are enjoying themselves, maybe not? maybe he would rather be cruising down a desert road on a big chopper and she would rather be at some yoga retreat in India or maybe not, but here they are in Zingst eating waffles….

    great work, pal!

    Hepp!

How about those of us who feel at home in neither place, a country boy in the city and a city slicker in the countryside ? We also have the wheels !

Love the photo. It’s just so „real life“…and the song to accompany it fits perfectly. It all just makes me smile. Thanks, Fritsch.
