songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

let’s tell the world we’re in that crazy mood

Let’s get lost, lost in each other’s arms / Let’s get lost, let them send out alarms / And though they’ll think us rather rude / Let’s tell the world we’re in that crazy mood / Let’s defrost in a romantic mist / Let’s get crossed off everybody’s list / To celebrate this night we found each other, mmm, let’s get lost (Chet Baker)

Getting lost in Zingst at the extreme north of Germany, in front of the Baltic sea, the appropriate place for thinking but not for talking. When it seems people are looking at the far horizon, they are in fact looking at themselves, their mistakes, their loneliness, their destiny, their roads…
And there is, Florian, your secret touch in the composition of this picture, putting the light pole between the two people. As it is your secret touch, I can’t explain it, I just can find it strong and wonderful, which makes this photograph a very unique one.

    habs fein
    herzliche Grüße

The dividing space and line might as well be a third person, each looking in a direction

There is strength in the triangular composition, the similarities of shapes, the distance between the man and woman, and the near-silhouette in the tones. It does look like the man is proposing this „let’s get lost“ idea to the woman, although, she isn’t looking at him, she seems to be seriously considering it. That melding of the photo and the lyrics makes me smile for some reason.

Your picture is really well made !

    All the best my friend.

  11. ay, Fritsch, buddy, a windy afternoon by the sea, the clouds have rolled in from the ocean and it’s just the two of them and a jazz tune from long ago and a crazy idea: let’s get lost, baby, let’s cast off and sail away on a cloudy day…..

wonderful vignetting, and great use of that light pole between them…

    keep on shooting, buddy!

    Hepp!
