songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

my little corner of the world

And if you care to stay in my little corner of the world / We could hide away in my little corner of the world / I always knew that I’d find someone like you / So welcome to my little corner of the world (Yo La Tengo)

The pixartix folks did it again. A new road, a new cycle named „heimatlos“ will accompany you to new places & photographers.

In the absolute, I think everyone in his or seeking his. The latter, if one is to have strong advantages ….

    All the best my friend.

Thanks, Florian, for your invitation to stay in your little corner of the world, a little corner where seals fly over the beach, a little corner where human beings lay like seals on the beach, a little corner where you paid attention to the strange features of our world, a world where a pier brings our eyes to a new frontier, where our mind can take an imaginary boat to sail new territories.
The picture is finely composed, giving to the seal the first role and making of the pier a kind of horizontal ladder leading to the unknown.
A balanced light benefits all the scene, providing the fitting reliefs, which helps for making this picture one of your great ones.

Love the portrait of the one to whom this ocean actually belongs and the smaller rendition of the ones who are the aliens here in this world, who get to visit, and ply their trade of attempting to own and tame it. You know which one I want to win. (I must be getting older and much more cynical if I can take a „cute“ photo and create a negative sounding statement.) I really enjoy your work, Florian.

Perhaps the biggest and most foreign travel is in that small patch we share with others and we call home

    wunderbar gefischtes bild!

  8. ay, Fritsch, there it is again, all that’s good: the ocean and the endless horizon with their promises of escape and new beginnings, always new, always the same…..

it’s great shot, buddy: the composition is flawless: the small humans framed by the earth and the ocean and the sky, and that strange seal billboard dwarfing them all, as if saying this is my place, this is my domain …..

    keep ‚em coming, pal!

    Hepp!
