I can hear the wind blowing in my mind / Just the way it used to sound through the Georgia pines / You were there to answer when I called / You and me, Lord knows we had it all (Donnie Fritts as sung by Keith Richards)

There is a Zen like stillness that I really appreciate in these two. You using a Leica M9? Nice!

I love the minimalism and simple focus of the first shot and the abstract geometry of the record collection. These are things that could be overlooked easily, but you saw them and gave them a heart. Country music sometimes has a heart and a plaintive song (if it isn’t just about „my dog drank my beer and stole my truck and I want my beer back.) I hadn’t heard this song, but it has a Dylan-esque quality that I think you capture often and well. Thanks for this, Florian.

The LPs, the table, few objects on the table, a poster on the wall, this is the portrait of a home, the portrait of the man living there. Your portrait, Florian, I guess. Cause I can imagine you with these vinyls. Listening to them.

Looking at a flat or a house, we may understand things about the people living there. Or not. Looking at it and feeling it. Feeling what we call in French „l’esprit du lieu“, words I can’t translate into English or German. Or should I translate it by „the feeling that was always there“?

I can hear the wind blowing in my mind.
