    A long way to get home, perhaps, but also a long way starting from home, you never know what’s on the road

    As the saying goes Florian hahhhahhaha… Times Too Short While You’re Having A Blast (HA!). An ordinary day, in an ordinary scene offering its own tropes and cliches! A „visual-verbal narrative“ depiction.

    With so many people in the same place, our eye likes to stare at one more pecularly. Here is an old man, almost in the center of the frame. A man dressed in clear colors, almost white. A well dressed man, with an umbrella hung beside him. I would say he is different, he is the different one here.
    And what about the other people, all younger people? Do some of them will look in the future like this old man? I would say no. Maybe because the presence of the old man, the different one is what makes the picture yet more interesting.
    And now I’m thinking I’m going to jump inside this composition and become one character, Florian, and join yourself there! In the little theater of our daily lifes!

    „All the world’s a stage,
    And all the men and women merely players:
    They have their exits and their entrances;
    And one man in his time plays many parts…“ Wm. Shakespeare

    Your photo is exactly this and there isn’t much more to add to that since we all can identify so well with that feeling. Like everyone else, I view each character and create a scene, and then I wonder what the reality is.

    It’s easy to find myself immersed in such a photo…and I’m deep into this one.

    Thank you, Florian.
