going home, rolling home

© Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt 2012 by Fritsch

I think I know now what’s making me sad / It’s a yearnin‘ for my own back yard / I realize maybe I was wrong to leave / Better swallow up my silly country pride / Going home, rolling home / Down to gasoline alley where I was born (Rod Stewart)

It is after a long road perhaps, that we get home, smelling of dust and gasoline, thinking only of that little corner of comfort we call home

    Nein, besser:
Am Fuße des Bettes liegt das Meer. –

is that your carpet? i’m coming to live with you, be forewarned :) i might be moving back over to squarespace, my dear, it just gives me a little more creativity with my themes, a little less functionality tho… thank you for coming to visit me, it cheered me up :) xoxoxox

Going home. Even with all its own idiosyncrasies, it would be a good place to be–if I could just get there.

  8. Francis J sagt:

Going home, rolling home, the title of the song is rolling on with the picture, the picture is rolling on with the story, the story is rolling on with the long trip they call a lifetime, and on and on…

    „Pourquoi faut-il payer
    En chagrin d’amour
    Si le curieux boucher
    Nous massacre tour à tour
    Je veux revoir l’étoile bleue
    Briller dans le ciel
Oh ! Pourquoi m’as tu fait Dieu
    Ce môme éternel ?“

And along with Jean-Louis Murat, and along with Rod Stewart, I’m going back home, listening to their songs, looking at your great photo, Florian, listening to my old memories, looking for a place to rest, listening to desperate songs, looking for „l’étoile bleue“ that my baby used to talk of when she came. And already desperate to have to leave for the ultimate bed. Where there is no more blue star.

Now that rug would give me vertigo in the morning!

  12. ay, Fritsch – another great catch! love the composition and the contrasts and the feeling of being on a road home, back down that gasoline alley!

    keep ‚em coming, buddy!

    Viva!

This picture is too „SEXY“ Florian! Liking very much the „Optical Illusion“ quality… how magical, too clever (HA! yet again).

  15. DomLortha sagt:

That’s what I call photography: you really create your picture with a clever eye! Fantastic! I love it!!!
    Have a nice day.
