songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

tell the ones that need to know we are headed north

© Botanischer Garten, Berlin 2012 by Fritsch

Load the car and write the note / Grab your bag and grab your coat / Tell the ones that need to know / We are headed north / One foot in and one foot back / But it don’t pay, to live like that / So I cut the ties and I jumped the tracks / For never to return (The Avett Brothers)

Another „movin‘ on“ theme, Florian, and you choose them so well. Maybe experience is your teacher, or maybe you have a vivid imagination—or both. Regardless, I like your photo and the patchwork walkway with the „traveler“ en route. The song says „all the exits look the same“–but your photos are all originals. Nice work!

When I’m 84, I’ll get a walking-stick and I’ll go and visit some botanischer Garten, that’s something I’m thinking about nowadays… But there is in front of me a kind of puzzle, like this patchwork in the alley of your picture, Florian. There is a puzzle because I don’t know how to head north, I just know that I would like to move (to tears?) in front of a cityscape, a garden or a street. This move would tell me I’m alive. Yet.

i like the walkway. the use of different pattern for the stone is something i like very much in a garden. makes a fine image.

As great and far as the adventure can be, it always starts on the front porch. You put one foot in front of the other and you never know where you’ll end up

  13. A beautiful mosaic of materials and a perspective effect is very beautiful, Florian. Superb!

  15. Très belle composition.
    Les détails sont superbes.
    Jolie présence de cet homme.
