lost in my soul & you couldn’t see the fire came up to my knees

© An den 7 Säulen, Dessau 2011 by Fritsch

You can tell yourself, I’ve never wanted more / If it will help you fool yourself, to believing there was nothing more / Lost in my soul and you couldn’t see / The fire came up to my knees / And you were there, burning, alone (Micah P. Hinson)

Hey, funny shadow, ¡you’re a Totem!

great idea and the final result

  3. These empty streets, these desolated streets, beloved streets, these feared streets. Still we stand, naked, burning, and so alone.

Oh brother, how this shot resonates, how it speaks of these things we speak of so often. Stark, lonesome, ever so beautiful.

Nobody in this street except this shadow looking like a man passing by with a strange hat, nobody except you, Florian, maybe waiting for a bus, making a beautiful shot of this desolated steet. Except you, so human, able to see and show us the beauty, waiting for us to go along with you.

a fascinating image. love the grit when i enlarged the photo. the shadow reminds me of a person wearing a hat.

  8. Great shot taken from a funny angel.

Nice one, bro. It pulls the viewer in given the long shadow and angle. From your images I would swear your the last man on earth: not a soul in sight. :)

I always play a balancing game with your photos and the lyrics that you post with them. For this photo, I first saw the lines leading into the distance and immediately thought that the perspective was of someone purposely traveling away from–probably–someone. It’s a purpose of intent and action. Then I read the lyrics and wonder which one of these people was leaving. One running from themselves or the other running to find a new sanctuary. Your work is always like this for me–and it shows some deep things going on in the mind of Florian Fritsch.

Lovely subject matter (HA!) liking the „consciousness“ you’ve had depicted… insanely charismatic and just-as-insanely-styled!

Brilliant shot! You really create your own picture with playing with shadows and different urban elements. Great picture to my eyes!
