songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

these inside fires have burned up these outside things

© La Rochelle, France 2011 by Fritsch

And a hurricane blew my bright stars away / But it won’t happen twice, my friend / I’m flat on my back and I’m travelling like dizzy spells / All these inside fires have burned up these outside things / All these inside fires have burned up these outside things (M. Ward)

Powerful words accompanying this image. Always evocative!

  3. Yes, “All these inside fires have burned up these outside things…”, indeed, sometimes they consume you, burning so bright, carrying you along on incandescent wings. And sometimes, not often, but sometimes the outside and the inside combines in one profound burst of completeness, and you merge with the road, utterly, inescapably.

This wall, its strange graffiti, the blind window, the other window and its reflections, and your very special black and white, no doubt we are caught by your very special universe, Florian.
Mind fires lighting the ordinary street’s show. A brilliant one!
