chalk mark on an empty street

© Lehnsweg, Büsum 2011 by Fritsch

Little moon don’t weep / Chalk mark on an empty street / How’d the night learn my name? / It’s only me you can blame / And the truth / Everything has an end / Severed too soon / What did I do, little moon? (Ryan Adams)

i like the symbolism of that huge dark shadow behind the figure of the wheelchair.. nicely captured.. :)

  2. Superb black and white and a superior frame.
Another great addition to the dark and wonderful universe of Fritsch.

an ominous feel to this with the excellent shadow on the right.

Profound things are often symbolized with the simplest of „marks“ like this wheelchair, or possibly a cross on a grave, the finger with or without a ring, a gift of a single rose, the candle on a birthday cake. The symbols help us understand things that are often past the power of words to describe. I’m not sure where your photo takes me, Fritsch, but it’s another one that sets the mind in motion.

oh honey but i do blame only you, for a passion that only passes thru pictures and not thru my arms… this photo of the wheelchair chalk line, i do believe the person was killed by that evil black presence there…. you’re scaring me :)

makes for a melancholy combination of image and words.

What or who was that other white mark on the left side of the wheelchair? I’m looking at this fascinating shot, Florian, and i can’t decide. My imagination can’t be running, my imagination looks like the black shadow of the tree. That’s fascination, a breathtaking moment, looking at a great picture.
The composition is excellent with the 3 horizontal strips and the 3 vertical ones (the black shadow, the wheelchair, the erased white painting).

  9. Une belle photo avec une petite pointe d’humour.
J’ai l’impression que tu lui donne du mouvement à ce symbole… Bravo !
Encore merci (tu comprendras vite pourquoi…).

Ein nachdenkliches und interessantes Bild, welches du hier zeigst. Was macht der Rollstuhlfahrer, wenn ein Fahrradfahrer auf ihn zufährt, aber kein Platz mehr ist?

    k.A.
