down the wrong road both ways

© Norden, Norddeich 2010 by Fritsch

If I could follow my whole life’s track / I’d still be here at the crossroads, dear / My broken heart has never left / Half the time it took half my life / To have half a right to say / Nothing ever makes it home / That takes the blue star highway / Nothing ever makes it home / That takes the blue star highway (Magnolia Electric Co.)

And now for something completely different: A very merry Christmas (John Lennon)

So pure and poetic landscape, just a amazing point of view for this shot! Again a metaphoric vision of Life! Keep sharing, Kris.

  3. I love this picture. The depth that gives the road is wonderful and poetic. And BW is gorgeous again!

Excellent perspective and encouragement to move the road straight ahead, into the unknown, in search of adventure.
    I like it.

beautiful roadway, tho i wouldn’t want to be trapped at it, the devil might come along and try to make me a deal… and i hate the devil… the devil might offer to make me a famous musician, or give me a famous musician to keep me warm at night hehehe…. but i would say, i already have what i need from God NOT you… then i would pull his tail and run away… and ralph machio won’t have to go head to head with the devil’s guitar player to save me, noooo, JESUS saved me, and oooh i get by with a little help from my friends, merry Christmas my photoblog lovah!!! catch!! i’m blowing you kisses xoxoxoxxoxooxooxoxooxxox

This photograph makes the perfect illustration. I feel like I reach a point like this way too often.

A road such as this is for following! Nicely done as always.

This reminds me of where I lived when I was a boy with flat, mostly treeless fields, and branching off the main road were gravel roads that went on and on. Maybe it’s the source of the saying „you can’t get there from here.“ Sometimes, it feels like that, doesn’t it? Nicely done, Sir.

Wonderful composition Fritsch. The road pulls you in like a funnel. Looks like each sign is waiting its turn to head down the road. Have a Happy New Year!

Here we are. At the crossroads. And the point of view makes us uncomfortable: we have to choose. Knowing that each way has its ups and downs. And a final cut…
    Great one, Fritsch!
