Als ich das erste Album von Sparklehorse kaufte, weil ich in Karl Bruckmaiers Buch „Soundcheck“ darüber gelesen hatte, fragte ich mich, wo Mark Linkous‘ „Heart of Darkness“ ihn wohl hinführen würde. Ich hätte die Antwort vielleicht kennen können: „there’s too much confusion today (..) and he blew his brains out with a pistol, I say“ (The Hatchet Song) Gruß vom Kid

    Die Grauschattierungen liegen auf der Strasse, alles andere ist schwarz oder weiss. Wie immer ein tolles Spiel mit den Kontrasten, was die Melancholie und Verlassenheit dieses Ortes noch mehr zur Geltung bringt.

    what a secretly gas stationy gas station!! i have never seen a gas station in front of what looks like a house lol… it’s very charming but there’s something soooo lonely about this picture! where’s the gasoline horse that will take us away? :)
